The Cabinet is considering building a new RM800mil-Parliament building in Putrajaya and preserving the existing one here as a heritage building?. The Star
It makes sense to move parliament to Putrajaya, Malaysia administrative capital. It did not make sense when parliament is still in KL when Putrajaya opened.
If the plan goes ahead, I hope it is build cost effectively and efficiently. Above all, I hope the project is awarded in a transparent manner and to a competent party with good track records in building and constructions. Inbetween, RM800million sounds expensive.
Otherwise, it will be very embarrassing to have a new parliament building with leaking roofs if it happens! :)
