Will I be cutting sugar now that it cost 25cents more?. This was a poll being carried out by the star online.
Sugar is an essential item for most people and maybe for some its just a ‘no’ item. . Someone who loves coffea probably will have kopi o (coffee without sugar) or kopi kurang manis (coffee with less sugar) or kopi biasa (coffee with normal sugar). And no matter what price you have to pay for sugar, people are going to have coffee as per their preference stated above. So I think its not going to matter if it is going to cost a bit more now since most people will be able to adjust to the price. Perhaps people in business probably would feel the pinch. Like those in confectionery etc. It would be unlikely they would want to reduce the sugar to make confectionery since the taste will be different. Follow the recipe right?
